Founder & Principal · Alejandro Adler Apex Advisory (4A)

Alejandro Adler smiling directly at the camera outdoors.

I founded 4A to work personally with students, families, and executives at consequential moments. I begin by understanding your ambitions, circumstances, and the life you want to build. Together, we consider the options, make the trade-offs clear, and carry the agreed strategy through.

I hold a PhD in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where I also studied economics and psychology. My research and practice focus on education, wellbeing, and public policy. I served as Director of International Education at Penn’s Positive Psychology Center and as an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University’s Center for Sustainable Development.

As Dean of Student Life & Wellbeing at Upper Canada College, I held responsibility for 1,250 students. My international policy roles have included Director of Wellbeing Science and Policy at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Deputy Director of the Global Happiness and Wellbeing Coalition, and associate editor of the World Happiness Report and Global Happiness Policy Report. I bring that breadth to each engagement with discretion, empathy, and sustained personal involvement.

My earlier education, leadership, and policy work spans 18 countries across four continents, including advisory work with 12 presidents and prime ministers and their governments.

The work, across different settings.

Begin a private conversation

Write a few lines about the decision you are facing. I will reply personally to arrange a conversation about your priorities, the support you need, and whether working together is right for you.

If we decide to work together, we agree on the scope, responsibilities, and level of access before the engagement begins.
