About Alejandro
Clear judgment. Deeply personal counsel.
Founder & Principal · Alejandro Adler Apex Advisory (4A)

For two decades, I have worked across education, wellbeing, and public policy, from classrooms to presidential boardrooms. Alongside that international work, I founded 4A to advise high-level professionals, students, and families through consequential decisions: an executive transition, a university choice, or an academic crisis. I begin with your needs, goals, values, and quality of life, then help you build a strategy and carry it through, step by step.
I hold a PhD in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where I also studied economics and psychology. My research and practice focus on education, wellbeing, and public policy. I served as Director of International Education at Penn’s Positive Psychology Center and as an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University’s Center for Sustainable Development.
As Dean of Student Life & Wellbeing at Upper Canada College, I held responsibility for 1,250 students. My international policy roles have included Director of Wellbeing Science and Policy at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Deputy Director of the Global Happiness and Wellbeing Coalition, and associate editor of the World Happiness Report and Global Happiness Policy Report. I bring that breadth to each engagement with discretion, empathy, and sustained personal involvement.
